Comprehensive covers fire, theft ,vandalism, glass breakage, animal damage, storms and natural disasters including flood. Water damage should clearly be covered.

Comprehensive insurance covers water damages too.

Look at your policy very carefully. In some regions things like water damage from a leak in the roof of a motor home for example would not be covered. On the other hand, if your truck rolls into the lake accidentally, there is clearly coverage under your comp. I know it is tedious, time consuming, and confusing, but reading your policy will really be an eye opener. Also, never be afraid to call your agent with questions. They see you as your customer, not as someone to "taddle" on. They are there to clear these things up. Additionally, there are additional coverages that may be available for you to purchase that may be very inexpensive and you may never know about them until you ask.

Actually, the coverage name was changed to "other than collision" some years back. So any occurrence that damages your vehicle that is "other than collision " would be covered.
