My homeowners insurance wont cover poor workmanship aso what can i do if the seller wont have it fixed

After five months of ownership of my house it was extremely damaged by a rain/hail storm and my homeowners insurance refuses to cover it due to poor workmanship. The seller never disclosed to me that the roof wasn't done correctly or completely nor did my agent so now what can I do if the seller refuses to pay to have it fixed. I was told by the inspector that the ceiling needs to be completelypulled out and redone due to water damage and since I have a large bubble in my kitchen ceiling I requested re-roofing to be done but the bubble was there before the storm and i had an appointment with my homeowners ins.person to come out the day prior to this. so this basically tells me the entire place had some form of leakage throughout the roof and I did get up in the attic and noticed the wood planks or beems were black so the attic had damage to it already . should'nt this information be disclosed also .What or how can I get the sellers to pay for this when it was they that never disclosed the problem. And if they try to act like they werent aware of it what the?

1st - You mentioned an inspector. Was he from the city or an adjustor from the carrier?
2nd - Who's your carrier and where are you located?
3rd - Was the home inspected prior to closing & who paid for the insepction?

Your insurance company may have denied your claim for damages resulting from "wear & tear" (lack of good maintenance), and/or the "repair" to roof occured outside the policy term inception date, usually prior to your date of purchase.

Federal law requires sellers of realty property to disclose any knowledge of pre-existing defects in the structure at the closing of your purchase transaction. The seller may have been convinced the repairs were done properly and they had no knowledge that the roof would leak later on down the road after it was sold to you. You would probably have to prove the seller had prior knowledge of defective workmanship for the federal law to apply. Most lawyers would not charge you for an opinion IF you had no chance of winning a court case against the seller. You should develop more concrete facts in support of your claim and then pose your question to a lawyer in your legal jurisdiction.
